And there are specific demands for the Government about the zero carbon bill.

Auckland University Professor Niki Harre told Tim Dower in her day the big issue was the threat of nuclear war, these days it's climate change.

She says while the two are separate issues, the approach needs to be the same.

Harre says the thing that's similar about them is the need for collaboration across borders to drive change.
