A former cop hopes the idea of frontline police wearing body cameras, gets revisited.
Last week three Taranaki police officers entered not guilty pleas to a charge of manslaughter after a man died at the Hawera station last year.
A review of body cameras in 2018 was cut short and never completed.
Former head of the Government's justice advisory group Chester Borrows told Kate Hawkesby it could help with future investigations.
“It could be helpful for both the police and the public if there was some way to record what they got up to, how they were spoken to and how they were treated -- so there's evidence for every incident they attend. “
