Joe Biden is about to be sworn is as the 46th President of the United States.

He's arrived at the US Capitol in Washington DC for his inauguration ceremony - and is due to take the oath of office.

25,000 armed troops are guarding the ceremony, due to fears of unrest.

Biden has already announced a raft of executive orders, aimed at dealing with Covid 19.

Democratic strategist Bernard Whitman expects Joe Biden to hit the ground running.

He told Kate Hawkesby that includes trying curb the course of Covid-19 in the US.

“Biden will likely start the '100 Day Mask Challenge' and also require masks to be worn on all federal properties.”
