Claims Queenstown's infrastructure wont be able to cope with a massive increase in visitor numbers.
The Queenstown airport has released its plan to extend it's noise boundary which would double the number of flight arrivals and departures.
Queenstown Lakes District Council member Alexa Forbes told Kate Hawkesby about 60 percent of their visitors fly in.
"That many more people are pouring out onto roads that aren't able to cope, there's that many more people that need sewerage pipes, waste disposal, water etcetera."
Forbes says they want a bed tax to help pay for infrastructure.
