Minister for Greater Christchurch Regeneration Megan Woods is defending rebuild agency Regenerate Christchurch despite a wave of delays.
The agency most recently came under fire after spending almost two years and $500000 working on a strategy to deal with climate change in Southshore and South New Brighton before handing the project over to the city council with little to show for it.
Minister Megan Woods told Chris Lynch she doesn't think the work will go to waste.
She says Regenerate has a really important function of providing her advice when she is asked to use section 71 of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery act.
