A Prebbleton business owner is concerned at the lack of research for a proposed recycling centre extension.
Waste Management has applied to discharge contaminants into the air as it shreds tyres and processes heavy metals and pesticides.
The area was named after Hamish Prebble's family and because he lives nearby, and owns a business in the consultation zone he is one of the few locals eligible to submit on the consent.
He says the plant should be out in the "wop wops" somewhere.
