A 22-year-old passenger has gone overboard while travelling on a Melbourne-bound cruise ship.
Princess Cruises says the man was reported missing on the Golden Princess ship on Monday night and that public address announcements and a full search on board failed to find him.
"The ship is currently on a 13-night cruise to New Zealand and is scheduled to complete the round-trip cruise in Melbourne tomorrow," the company has said in a statement.
Today, CCTV footage was found which showed him intentionally jumping overboard.
The cruise ship enlisted experts who said there was no likelihood he would have survived.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority's Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Canberra has been notified.
