UPDATED 6.15pm
Ten people have been hospitalised with "minor to major injuries" after shots were fired in Manchester, England in the early hours of this morning.
Sky News is reporting that Greater Manchester Police received a report of gunshots in Moss Side at around 2.30am this morning (local time).
Both unarmed and armed officers attended the incident and found a number of people injured from the incident.Â
Detective Superintendent Debbie Dooley says most of the injuries don't appear to be life-threatening.
However, officers have called the event a "dangerous attack."
The Caribbean Carnival had finished up hours before the shooting, which police say is why there were so many people in the area.
Footage circulating on Twitter reportedly shows the aftermath of the attack. It shows a group of people being helped by police in the area.

Superintendent Dooley said: "The area is being searched and examined while we are also trying to speak to as many people as possible and are reviewing CCTV to get all the facts.
Extra police have been sent to the area, which is around two miles south of Manchester city centre, according to Sky News.
