A Nelson man who received a shoddy retrofit house insulation wants the job done properly.

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority is reviewing all homes that have been serviced by local contractor Marc Stewart.

It is alleged Stewart impersonated Kiwi Insulation, a company he used to work for while offering fraudulent work.

Real Estate Agent Doug McKee says he paid over $3000 for a dodgy job.

"I just want this job insulated to the code, and to pay no more money."

McKee also says he called in a building inspector after hearing reports other people had had problems.

"Some areas under the floor have zero insulation, and the insulation in the ceiling they have cut the bats in half horizontally, so they have only put half the thickness in."

Any customers of Marc Stewart should contact Kiwi Insulation.
