Israel Folau's GoFundMe campaign has been taken down after supporters donated more than $750,000 to support his legal battle against Rugby Australia.

The rugby star called on regular Australians to fund his legal fees after he was sacked for breaching his contract with a homophobic post.

Today, the page was disabled and read 'Campaign Not Found'.

Folau was sacked last month for comments on social media, including claiming that homosexuals are destined for hell unless they repent for their sins.

Australian Regional Manager Nicola Britton says they'll be issuing full refunds to all donors.

She says after a routine period of evaluation, they've come to the conclusion the campaign violates their terms of service.

Britton says the company's committed to the fight for LGBTIQ+ people, and fostering an environment of inclusivity.

She says they won't tolerate the promotion of discrimination or exclusion.
