Shane Jones has confirmed he's suffering from exhaustion, but says he's otherwise fine.
The NZ First MP was seen leaving Parliament in a wheelchair this afternoon.
Jones says he was taken to hospital this afternoon as a precaution, after feeling light-headed.
He's thanked National MP Shane Reti and fellow New Zealand First MP Jenny Marcroft, who came to his aid - and is thanking people for their good wishes.
Jones was answering journalists' questions before going into the House today at 2pm.
It is understood that Jones started to fell unwell during Question Time.
Shane Reti, the MP for Whangarei and a doctor, was asked to take a look at Jones and recommended he be sent to hospital for tests.
NZ First Leader Winston Peters said that Jones had been working extraordinary hard over long hours, day after day without breaks.
