A high-powered group wants the brakes pulled on the secrecy around rapid transport planning in Auckland.
They've written to Transport Minister Phil Twyford, concerned about a lack of transparency over the planning process, and a lack of public consultation.
The EMA, Greater Auckland, the AA, Generation Zero, Heart of the City and Bike Auckland are among those who have signed the letter.
Greater Auckland's Matt Lowrie told Tim Dower the process is the wrong way around.
"What the Government is fighting is we will choose who we will get to build something before we decided what that something is."
Lowrie says they want more transparency around the decision-making process.
