A person is seriously injured after an accident on State Highway 2 near Matata in Bay of Plenty.
Police said the injured person is either a pedestrian or cyclist hit by a vehicle.
The accident happened near Burt Road at about 2.20 this afternoon, with traffic reduced to one lane while police investigate.
