Friends and family of those who died in the CTV building collapse will have to wait longer for justice to be served.
Police are conducting an examination of the wall foundations on the site where the building once stood.
They say their investigation will wrap up by the end of the year.
But it's a story that CTV receptionist Maryanne Jackson has heard before.
"We were told the end of the year last year, and then we were told June, so we're still waiting."
Maryanne Jackson was the only person to escape the crumbling building, where 115 people lost their lives.
Meanwhile, one of those to receive the Bravery Medal today is Kaikoura doctor Chris Henry.
He was attending a meeting in Christchurch, when the February 2011 earthquake struck.
Dr Henry was one of two doctors called to the collapsed CTV building - and said it was a harrowing experience.
"You have this enormous pressure to do stuff quicker on the one hand and then on the other hand it was so difficult and measured and painstaking."
"You had to be very careful because you could have quite easily got yourself or somebody else stuck."
