Police are testing tins of infant formula after concerns some may have been tampered with, following the 1080 scare.
Assistant Commissioner Malcolm Burgess says they've received a number of calls from concerned members of the public in response to possible product tampering such as pinpricks in packaging lids.
He says a number of tins have been collected and secured by police, which are being forensically tested where appropriate.
Malcolm Burgess says at this stage there is no information from these incidents which suggests the public is at risk.
