It's just over a week since the tragic death of a Canterbury man during a jet boat competition near Wanaka.
The funeral for 46-year-old Cameron Moore is being held in Christchurch this afternoon.
He's been described as a larger than life character.
Jet Boat River Racing Association spokesperson Paul Mullan says he made a huge impact on river racing and outdoor recreation, and they're facing a phenomenal loss.
He says jet boating runs in the family, and Moore started driving jet boats before he was out of nappies.
He also owned Ballinger's Hunting and Fishing in Christchurch.
