Act Party leader David Seymour is calling for the Government to give more information about the Northland Covid-19 case.
Former Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters claims Mongrel Mob member Harry Tam helped a Covid-19 positive woman into Northland.
Tam denies it.
Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins and Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern say there is no evidence to back up the claims.
Seymour says the Government should answer questions about the case.
"The people deserve to know what the Government knows, because the public might actually be able to help with information. And they also deserve to know in a democracy what's going on."
Ardern says the Government is not withholding any vital information, adding they have released information about the woman's movements as they have received it.
However, the Prime Minister says the person, despite the involvement of the police, has not been forthcoming, which is why the Government took a very precautionary approach.
