Car registration fees are going down in July - but by how much will depend entirely on what you drive.
INFO: Find out how much your new levies will be here
It's thanks to a drop in the ACC portion of the fee - down on average by 41 percent.
The rating is based on actual crash data collected by Australian and New Zealand police since 1987.
The current levy rate for petrol-powered passenger vehicles is $198.65 per year.
Vehicles are categorised into four 'bands' - L1 to L4 - based on their Risk Rating.
L1 vehicles - the oldest or least safe - will pay $158.46 per year.
The least safe vehicles - those built before 1995, or more recent vehicles with poor crash data - will save $40s.
L4 vehicles will pay $68.46.
That means the safest vehicles - the 'L4' band - will save just over $130 annually.
ACC's levy makes up the largest part of a car's license fee.
