An economic development agency is supporting introduced admission prices for New Zealanders on Waitangi Treaty grounds.
From Saturday, New Zealand visitors will have to pay an admission price of 15 dollars, entry for under 18s however will remain free.
Northland Inc regional promotions general manager, Paul Davis says admission prices are justified, due to lack of government funding.
He says the trust is one of many Northland tourism businesses still trying to recuperate their losses from the international financial crisis.
