Hamilton police are working to recover the body of a man who plunged into the Waikato River this morning.
They're not treating the matter as suspicious.
Members of the public saw the man fall near the Pukete Footbridge, and police are commending two 13 year old boys who attempted to rescue him.
Acting Senior Sergeant Martyn Hughes says Search and Rescue volunteers have been brought in to help search the river banks, and the police boat has also been launched.
Officers are asking any recreational river users or landowners who notice anything of interest to contact them.
