Game of Thrones may nearly be over, but that doesn't mean the magic has to end.

HBO has announced it is turning one of the show's studios into a massive tourist attraction so fans can visit Westeros in person.

The Game of Thrones Studio Tour will be an interactive exhibition of the show's sets, costumes, weapons and other props, inspired by Warner Bros' wildly successful Harry Potter Studio Tour in London.

It will include exhibits that break down how Thrones was made, as well as sets and props from all over the Thrones universe, which will we be rebuilt and restored by the same construction crews that worked on the show.

"It's going to be an immersive experience where fans will feel like they are inside their favourite sets from the show," Jeff Peters, HBO's vice president for licensing and retail, told the New York Times.

The project is the first of a potential four former "Thrones" filming locations in Northern Ireland which could be transformed into interactive fan experiences.

Other locations include the still-standing sets for King's Landing in Belfast, and Castle Black and the Wall, in a quarry outside the city.

The show has previously spawned other in-real-life extensions, like the Live Concert Experience and a touring exhibition of artefacts from the show, but this will be fans' most in-depth look into the series yet.

The Game of Thrones studio tour will open in spring 2020 at Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, Northern Ireland, where scenes in the castles Winterfell and Castle Black and several sea battles were shot.
