Game of Thrones was HBO's most pirated programme last year.

The season premier of the fifth season came out yesterday, but it was leaked online before it aired, along with three other episodes.

But that wasn't the only problem here.

Sky TV owned the rights, but had problems simulcasting the premier at the same time as the worldwide release yesterday afternoon.

Internet research consultant Jared Palmer says there's always going to be piracy.

"There was always going to be those tech savvy individuals who would be able to do that, and they were always going to get away with that. There's a limit to what could have been done about that."
