The Boss has answered the call to Christchurch.
Bruce Springsteen will perform on the eve of the sixth anniversary of the February Earthquake on 21st February - before performing in Auckland a few days later.
A number of attempts were made to get him to the Garden City - including a letter from Christchurch Mayor Lianne Dalziel.
She said the date of his arrival in the city is significant.
"I think it's really going to give a boost to morale - he's a pretty special guy and I'm certainly going to be lining up to buy a ticket."
He will play alongside Christchurch local Marlon Williams and the Yarra Benders.
Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band were last here in 2014, for a sold out run of shows.
