Timaru police are appealing for information about a member of the South Canterbury Olympic wrestling club.

The 56-year-old Timaru man has been charged with indecent assault, and having indecent communications with a person under 16.

He was arrested last week and remanded in custody until May 9.

Detective Senior Sergeant Richard Quested says the inquiry is ongoing and it's possible there are further victims.

They urge anyone with information to contact  police.
