One man may be responsible for a spate of burglaries in Auckland - including 10 in a single night - and police want your help to track him down.

The strikingly similar burglaries are mostly in Kumeu, Muriwai and the North Shore, and are mostly at night.

Senior Sergeant Steve Pivac says the burglar has left no forensic evidence, but a man has been snapped on CCTV cameras using credit or bank cards stolen during the burglaries.

He says the man may not be directly responsible for the break-ins, but police want to speak to him about how he got the stolen cards.

Senior Sergeant Pivac says the man's been captured on camera in Orewa, Warkworth and on the North Shore.
