A second man has been jointly charged with the murder of Brian James in Mt Roskill, two days before Christmas.Â
He and another man, who earlier appeared in Hasting District Court, are also jointly charged with causing grievous bodily harm to two other people at the address on Glass Rd.Â
On Wednesday morning a 42-year-old man was located by police at a South Auckland address. He was wanted for murder and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in connection to the incident.Â
He has since been taken to custody without incident. Following this arrest, a third man was located and charged.Â
The 39-year-old South Aucklander was charged with being accessory after the fact to murder as well as also being charged with unlawful possession of a firearm after police allegedly located a loaded sawn-off shotgun.Â
Both men charged today will be appearing in the Auckland District Court tomorrow.Â
James, 23, was shot inside a Kainga Ora house on Glass Rd.Â
Detective Inspector Scott Beard, Auckland City CIB, said although theÂ
investigation team have made multiple arrests, police cannot rule out furtherÂ
arrests or additional charges being laid.Â
Beard said James' family alongside the two other victims are "relieved and grateful" the alleged offenders are being held accountable.Â
