The man who died in Charing Cross, Canterbury at the weekend can now be named.

He is 28-year-old Luke Riddell.

Police continue to investigate the death and a number of scene examinations are underway.

Riddell was found on the side of the road on Saturday afternoon, on Grange Road near Burnham.

While police have not confirmed how the victim died, police have revealed a firearm was used in the incident and the victim had gang links.

Detective Inspector Corrie Parnell says the public can still expect to see a significant police presence in the area for the next few days as they continue scene examinations in Grange Road and Telegraph Road.
