Another huge weekend for Christchurch's new Riverside Market.
Joint owner Richard Peebles says almost 50,000 people came through over Labour weekend.
He says it's fantastic seeing the city come to life.
Peebles says everything was buzzing, with buskers and people everywhere.
“There were so many people sitting outside in the parks and outside the markets, there were huge numbers at the market and it really was a wonderful weekend.”
Richard Peebles says a lot of temporary stall operators have now set up permanently with cooking facilities, which is what caused the power cuts on Sunday morning.
"Because of the huge amount of people, it caused a wee outage. But it's only a teething problem and it will be sorted at the end of the day."
