Two fires in two very different scenarios have brought out the fire crews in Christchurch this morning.Â
Multiple fire crews are working to dampen down hot spots at a house fire on West Coast Road in Templeton.
Fire and Emergency say they responded to a "well-involved" house fire at about quarter past nine this morning.
A spokesperson says they've now extinguished the two storey house fire, but he says there's significant damage, and they've switched to a salvage operation.
Meanwhile, crews are still working to cool down a fire in the engineering workshop of Christchurch Men's Prison.
Fire and Emergency NZ were called out just before 10 this morning.
A spokesperson says one person with minor injuries has been treated by prison medical staff.
He says they'll be investigating the fire's cause
