Revving engines and popping exhausts have made for another sleepless night in central Christchurch.
Dozens of boy racers flocked to the city for the second night of the Aves Invasion, an event which in the past has caused chaos on the city's streets.
Police say ten people have been arrested for various offences with three found over the breath alcohol limit.
Around 30 defective or unsafe cars have also been taken off the road, and a number of speed camera tickets and infringement notices issued.
However, Police have praised the car enthusiasts for showing respect on the streets outside the Al Noor mosque, where 43 people were fatally shot last month.
