Shane Jones is once again lashing out at Air New Zealand - this time at their safety video.

The New Zealand First MP has landed himself in trouble before for his criticisms of the national airline.

Earlier this year, Jones criticised Air New Zealand's CEO Christopher Luxom, and called on the Board chairman to resign, after the company stopped flights to the Kapiti Coast and later increased prices by five per cent.

He says he's been advised not to take any pot-shots at the national airline, however Jones says its new rap safety video is a juvenile mish-mash.

"It trivialises safety, and look, I've never heard so many people using the 'F word' while watching that video, and they are not saying first class."

The video, which features actor Julian Dennison and musicians Kings and Randa, is a 90s theme rap video in line with the company's tradition of making viral safety videos.

Earlier videos have included supermodels on the beach, Entourage actor Adrian Grenier in Antarctica, and fitness guru Richard Simmons.
