Details of when the public will be able to meet Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall during their New Zealand trip later this month have been revealed.

The two royals will visit New Zealand from 17th to the 23rd of November, their third joint visit to New Zealand and first in four years.

They will arrive in Auckland before travelling to the Bay of Islands, Christchurch and Kaikōura.

While in the Bay of Islands, they will visit the Waitangi Treaty Grounds on the 20th of November for one of their public walks. It will be the first time a royal has visited the site since 1994.

The public will also be able to see the Prince and Duchess at public walks in Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour on the 19th, Christchurch’s Cathedral Square on the 22nd, and the Prince of Wales will visit Kaikōura on Saturday 23 November.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern previously said the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall would get to see the regeneration of Christchurch since the 2011 quake and the way the community had come together since the March 15 attacks.

"The effects on the community of the 2016 earthquake will also be seen first-hand at Kaikōura," Ardern said.

Prince William visited Christchurch briefly earlier this year to meet victims and first responders after the March 15 attacks. Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex toured the country in October 2018.

Further information about the location and timing of public walks will be published shortly.
