A Wanted Man by Lee Child

I promise this is the last Jack Reacher novel I review.

But given that this is the year that the movie of one of Child’s novels is being released - starring that hopelessly miscast pretender Tom Cruise - there will be much hype around all things Reacher.

Last year’s prequel The Affair showed Child back to his best and A Wanted Man isn’t far off it. My mate felt there wasn’t enough Jack dealing to the bad guys in it, but I’m a girl and a little bit of sensitive Jack was fine by me.

Basically it’s the same premise - Jack encounters bad guys and vulnerable woman; Jack, through smarts, bravery and physical strength, overcomes bad guys and saves vulnerable woman; Jack moves on. What’s not to love?
