Black Sticks beat USA 3-2

By: Nick Walker | Other Sport News | Thursday April 19 2012 17:15

The New Zealand women's hockey team have beaten the USA 3-2 in their Four Nations encounter in Auckland.

The visitors opened the scoring early on, before the Kiwis answered with goals to Charlotte Harrison, Gemma Flynn and Katie Glynn.

The Americans wrestled back the momentum after scoring their second, but were unable to break through the Kiwi defence in a frantic final few minutes.

Earlier this afternoon, Australia beat India 5-2.
