The Chiefs have consolidated their position at the top of the Super Rugby table with a 33-14 win over the Hurricanes in Hamilton. The home side led 12-8 at halftime thanks to four penalties from first five Aaron Cruden. The Chiefs then upped the intensity in the second spell, running in three unanswered tries. First it was Lelia Masaga to score, before props Sona Taumalolo and Toby Smith both crossed. Fullback Andre Taylor scored the Hurricanes only try of the match.
