The Rebels have beaten the Crusaders 28-19 in Melbourne for the biggest upset in Super Rugby this year. The visitors led for the middle stages of the match after conceding an early try, but two quick tries by the Rebels mid way through the second half secured the win. It capped a strong second half from the Rebels, who kept the Kiwis scoreless after half time. The home side outscored the Crusaders three tries to one, with Sam Whitelock scoring the lone five pointer. It caps a missed opportunity for Cantabrians, who remain seven points behind the Chiefs in the New Zealand conference. The Stormers have survived a scare from the Cheetahs to hold on for a 16-14 victory in Cape Town. They had led 16-0 at halftime. Photo: Israel Dagg (Photosport) |
