Magic hold off Mystics' fourth quarter charge

By: Elliott Smith | Latest Netball News | Sunday June 17 2012 20:56

The Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic have held off a fast-finishing Northern Mystics to claim a 48-46 ANZ Championship win in Auckland.

The Magic held a six goal lead heading into the final quarter and extended their lead early in the final period, before the Mystics began wave after wave of fightbacks before falling just short.

It's the Magic's seventh win in a row, but dislodges the Mystics' grip on the top of the ladder.
