Matai back in front of the judiciary

By: Guy Heveldt | Latest Rugby League News | Monday May 28 2012 14:48

Manly and Kiwis centre Steve Matai is back at the judiciary, this time charged with a grade four careless high tackle.

Matai faces up to three weeks on the sidelines after being charged for his tackle on Panthers' forward Danny Galea late in the Sea-Eagles 22-4 loss in Penrith.

He will miss two weeks with an early guilty plea or three if he fights the charge and is unsuccessful.

Matai has a long history at the judiciary, highlighted by his seven game suspension in 2010 for a reckless high tackle.
