Finals rematch to kick off Breakers' 2012 season

The SkyCity Breakers will open the new Australian NBL season in what will be a repeat of last season's grand final series.

The Breakers were originally set down to face the now defunct Gold Blaze Blaze.

However, a reschedule means the defending champions will now host the Perth Wildcats on October 5.
