A 34-year-old woman is in intensive care in Dunedin Hospital after suffering injuries at the Remarkables ski field.

The Auckland woman has suffered a traumatic brain injury and was found unconscious by a member of the public near the Shadow Basin lookout yesterday afternoon.

Paramedics attended the scene before she was flown to Lakes District Hospital and then to Dunedin.

Meanwhile, a 50-year-old woman was also taken to Lakes District Hospital yesterday afternoon after falling from a chairlift at Coronet Peak.
