It's not often you get a senior Cabinet minister and a mayor at the opening of a supermarket. But that will be the case next week as one of Christchurch's suburban supermarkets reopens are 16 months closure. Earthquake Recovery Minister Gerry Brownlee will do the honours at SuperValue Edgeware next Friday. CERA Chief Executive Roger Sutton and Mayor Bob Parker will also attend. Owner Operator Stephen Anderson says although it's been sad to see the old building come down, he's pleased to be reopening and thanks the community for their support. Photo: Getty Images |
