Mark Ford to head a key Chch rebuild group

One of the men instrumental in the overhaul of Auckland's local government structure will head a key Christchurch rebuild group.

Mark Ford's been appointed as the independent chairman of the Client Governance Group which manages infrastructure repair and reconstruction in the city.

Earthquake Recovery Minister Gerry Brownlee says Mr Ford has great experience in infrastructure.

"Mark Ford has accepted appointment as the independent chair of the Client Governance Group. We look forward to working with Mark in the years ahead to make sure that we do achieve everything that this organisation looks to promise."
