Canterbury Rugby League is hoping to get full reports this morning into allegations of an on-field brawl involving 40 people.
The fight erupted on Saturday when players exchanged punches during an under-16 match against the Northern Bulldogs and Celebration Lions.
It's understood spectators and even a female team manager got involved.
Canterbury Rugby League general manager Craig Kerr is expecting reports from the game's officials this morning.
"We'll sit down as a group and make a decision as to what needs to happen. From there we have a judicial panel that sits in these types of events that we'll call in to sit and make a ruling on what happens."
Mr Kerr says they'll consider all options for the teams and individual players involved, including season bans.
Northern Bulldogs Club president Llew Timpson says both teams are under report while Canterbury Rugby League and police have launched their own investigations.
