Early childhood funding for Maori and Pacific in the mix

| Latest Political News | Wednesday May 23 2012 17:06

Targeted early childhood education funding for Maori and Pacific Island children looks set to be in the mix when the Government delivers its Budget tomorrow.

Associate Education Minister Pita Sharples indicates such a move is on the cards.

"It's one of the areas that we're targeting definitely because the stats show us that that's where there is a need."

Pita Sharples says, considering the state of the economy, he's satisfied with the funding the initiative will get.
