Howl of complaint over dog trainer's techniques

By: Newstalk ZB staff | New Zealand News | Sunday June 10 2012 9:12

A howl of complaint from dog trainers over techniques shown on the TVNZ show Last Chance Dogs.

The programme looks at aggressive animals, and trainer Gina Voglar tries to curb their behavioural issues to save them being put down.

Now other trainers say techniques like choke chains and pinching dogs to get their attention are out of date, and shouldn't be used.

They want the network to take the show off the air.
