iPad searches up big prior to Mothers Day

There could be some pricey surprises for New Zealand mothers today.

Yahoo! says there have been some dramatic changes in what people are looking for on its New Zealand deals site over the past week.

Searches for iPads are up 27 percent and price comparisons for handbags have risen 18 percent.

There's also been a nine percent increase in interest in perfume and the same for car tyres.
