Paul Holmes awake, off life support

| New Zealand News | Monday June 11 2012 9:07

Paul Holmes is now awake and off life support five days after his open heart surgery.

He's sitting up in bed and chatting with family and is expected to leave Intensive Care today.

His relieved family is thanking everyone for their encouragement and support and are requesting privacy over the next few days as the broadcaster continues his recovery.
