Cleaning firm ups ante over employment law

By: Felix Marwick | New Zealand News | Monday September 10 2012 11:26

A cleaning firm's upping the ante in its efforts to lobby the Government over employment law.

Crest Commercial Cleaning is demanding action over a law that requires a company to take on the employees of another firm when it picks up that firm's contract.

The law is currently under review but Crest is unhappy, not only with the rule, but also at how long Minister of Labour Kate Wilkinson is taking to make a decision.

The company's gone so far as to set up a website critical of the minister, and today has sent flyers to all media outlets in the press gallery promoting its cause.
