Holden New Zealand is recalling more than 600 of its Cruze vehicles, over fears they are a potential fire risk. The company says it's a precautionary safety recall, following General Motors' recall of certain Chevrolet Cruze models in North America. The vehicles affected in New Zealand are Australian-built MY12 and MY13 Cruze models fitted with a 1.4 litre petrol engine. The company says a condition has been identified where, in some instances, the lower air deflector can catch oil that might drip from the engine if an oil change is not done properly. There are no reported cases of engine compartment fires in New Zealand related to the condition. Photo: AAP |
