Man critical after plunging 12 storeys

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Emergency News | Sunday July 22 2012 8:33

A 25-year-old man is in a critical condition after plunging 12 storeys off a hotel building in Auckland.

The man fell from the 16th floor of the All Seasons hotel just before 11pm on Friday night.

He landed on a corrugated iron roof and firefighters rescued him.

A fire spokesman says the man has very serious head injuries and was unconscious when they reached him.

The hotel says the man wasn't a guest, but was visiting at the time of the incident.
